I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone again. I know it sounds so cliche, but it’s so true! I almost NEVER remember to take photos of the food I cook, at least not while I’m cooking, but this year I actually remembered. If I hadn’t though, my fabulous foodie friend, Milan kindly reminded me to as well. Here are just a few photos from my Christmas weekend. It is by no means complete, I am notorious for not taking photos consistently at home when I’m busy cooking and preparing for a gathering. But I think you’ll get the basic idea. Happy New Year to you all! I hope you’ve had a wonderful time spent with friends, family and good food.
My Christmas Kitties:

Hot Apple Cider infused with “tea” bags:
Gluten-free sponge cake for the trifle; it tasted like the real deal!
The finished trifle and the infamous custard skin:
Something a little more festive than my normal MO; Christmas dream drops with crushed candy cane and dark choc chips:
The Guinness Gingerbread process, it was yummy but next year I think I’ll add grated fresh ginger for more punch:

A little variety of goodies; my mom’s famous sour cream cake, Guinness Gingerbread and Date Nut Pinwheel Cookies (my great aunt’s recipe):
Gluten-free Cran-orange-walnut cookies, Dream Drops and Date Nut Pinwheels:
The yummy spread on Christmas Eve:
Me and my wonderful Mom:
Mychel always steals the show with her witty cuteness!
Pouring a “Half & Half, Irish Coffee two ways and Rooibos Chai in our new double-walled glass mugs:
Peanut opening her Christmas stocking!
Some traditional Filipino favorites; Pancit Bihon, Empanadas and a garden salad for 20 people!
Sharon has been cooking since the fifth grade when her mother had to go back to get her master’s degree and passed the cooking torch to her and her twin sister, Sandra, out of necessity. She has a catalog of baking recipes in her mind so vast, it would take years to make them all. Stay tuned for the full story soon!
